🐻🎨 50 Cornellians visit The Met together!! Dan Kershaw ’78 is the Exhibit Designer for The Met, and he gave us a tour, of how he created the Exhibits for The Met!!
- there’s so much science that goes into the exhibit design, to be airtight, to not have heat fluctuations, to preserve the artwork!!
- there’s so much thought put into where to place the pieces, the Brooklyn Bridge design documents are so long, so they had to go to the first floor by the stroller parking, because that hallway is long enough!!
- there’s so much respect to the history of the artwork, and it’s important to be respectful to the cultures that made the artwork!!
Antoinette ’99 gave an amazing tourmn we had a great time walking through several exhibits! the Tour Guide explained the many narratives in each artwork!! I feel like I appreciate the artwork much more!!!
