I visited SouthWorks, the new $580mm real estate project, with 1.7mm sq ft of residential and commercial real estate, it’ll be an innovation hub, with artist studios, software startups, manufacturing, and hundreds of new housing!! The site used to be the Morse Chain Factory, that produced bicycle and airplane chains, and it closed down and was empty for a few decades. It’s super exciting to see it repurposed, it reminds me of the Bell Works building in Holmdel that was repurposed from the old Bell Labs office building to a mixed-use wonderfully thriving community!
