Every year in January, hundreds of Cornellians do volunteer events, all around the world!! cookie baking, children book organizing, diaper banks, gardening, food bank packing, and more! Cornell Cares started in early 2000s, when a few regional Cornell Clubs organized volunteer events for local nonprofits! Now, over 30 regional Cornell Clubs organize volunteering events, where any Cornellian can attend and volunteer with Cornellians I’m volunteering at 3 events this Cornell Cares Day!! - Rockland County NY: baking cookie sales to send children with life-threatening illnesses to visit Disney World - Monmouth/Ocean NJ: activity stations at the Memory Care unit of senior living community - Northern New Jersey: pack food into boxes to be distributed through the food bank
