🐻🎉 For Giving Day, please consider giving to Cornell Tech. Cornell Tech is transforming the tech ecosystem in NYC, and has the highest levels of productivity I’ve seen at Cornell. Cornell Tech is transforming the NYC tech ecosystem, to be more inclusive, welcoming of diversity, to be a better ecosystem than SF’s - The K-12 program partners with NYC high schools to make computer science more accessible for all groups of students [1]. - The Breakthrough AI program partners with colleges around NYC to encourage underrepresented women into AI jobs [2]. - Cornell Tech graduates fill the ranks in the top tech companies in NYC (Bloomberg, Google, American Express), and start 10-15 tech startups per year as part of the Runway program [3]. Cornell Tech has the highest levels of productivity I’ve seen at Cornell - Matthew Davis started TechFest last year from scratch (300 attendees, 4 panels, ranging from law to entertainment), he hopes to make it the SXSW of NYC, and this year, he’s looking for corporate sponsorships to make it even bigger [4]. - Carley Hart helps corporations tap into the innovation happening at Cornell Tech, i.e. sponsor postdocs for research. I connected her with 7 corporations, and she follows up, and got meetings with every single one of them. Cornell Tech is looking to raise $1bb to build out the rest of the Roosevelt Island campus, scale up to 2000 students/year, and transform tech in NYC. It’s super-exciting!! #cornell #nonprofit #giving
