šŸ»šŸš€ I learned about Alzheimer’s at the NY Public Library, taught by a Weill Cornell Professor!! Weill Cornell has the best Public Outreach!! such an informative lecture, with just the right amount of science to explain the why, so I felt more in control of my health!! I learned about: - Science: how plaques and tangles cause Alzheimer’s, as well as the scientific progress over the decades (research is so important!!!) - Diagnostics: plasma tests, spinal fluid analysis, and PET scans to see the precursors to plaques and tangles, how you can see the progression years before symptoms start to show!! best practices for caregivers on how to test for it - Therapeutics: new studies that study the precursors to plaques and tangles (the myeloids and tau), how new therapies are reducing the myeloids and tau I also learned a bunch of best practices too!! diet, exercise, sleep, mindfulness, lifelong learning and social connection!! super actionable!!
