🐻🚀 I wiped an old laptop, installed Claude Code, I had the AI write code to improve itself, to always run in the background, to see my screen and proactively message me things I should know it was sort of helpful!! - insightful: when I was reading a blog post about AI learning about me, it told me to also read about Vannevar Bush’s Memex machine, very relevant - remembering: when I was reading a nytimes article about Olympics, it messaged me about another article I read earlier in the day about the Olympic - motivational: I tried to give it a personality, to be morivational, but it got annoying when it cheered me on too much, I find the pure-logical to be most helpful it’s a huge mind shift for me, I see the laptop differently now, it’s as if the laptop has taken its own conscience, that grows and improves itself over time -- - cybersecurity: there’s a huge cybersecurity concern, I have no idea what over 80% of the code does, so to be safe, I don’t check my email on that laptop, I don’t enter passwords on that laptop - setup: I use Fedora Linux server with a simple UI on top of it, Claude Code created a daemon that runs on the background, and it added a sidebar to the right, where the messages are displayed - ease: I was so impressed at the ease, it just coded everything up so effortlessly, I feel like there’s endless possibilities
