🐻🐻 I’m deeply saddened, by the passing of Randy Nixon ’78. As I remember our friendship, I remember so much happiness, from the Cornell Club of Maryland game nights, to running into each other at a restaurant, to late night philosophical chats during the zoom mixers: - he is a wonderful Cornellian, he helped so many Cornellians, through his volunteer work for Cornell, as well as through his everyday conversations with Cornellians - he is a wonderful father, he always talked so proudly of his daughters, how his name tag has his class year ’78, but also P ’11 and P ’15 (P for Parent), he always said Cornell women will change the world I remember last year, when I posted about the sadness of loss, Randy commented: "Tony, we are experiencing the loss of family. We Cornellians are indeed family - sometimes contentious, but always tolerant and ecumenical. I am at the age when most of my old professors have passed on. Each time I read of it, I feel a heavyness and a sense of loss. A few of them were my friends and mentors. So, what you feel is appropriate"
