🐻🚀 I’m having a great time at NY Tech Week!! I attended 3 Cornellian events so far, Cornellians run the tech ecosystem in NYC!! - Idan Bar-Dov, MBA ’20, organized an AI and Cybersecurity in Finance panel!! Megan Shkolyar ’20, MBA ’25, was a speaker as well! I learned how AI is helping secure financial processes, and how to evaluate cybersecurity startups beyond the jargon!! - Manan Modi ’21 organized an NYC B2B event, it’s the highest signal event, I met a Series A founder building healthcare insurance, as well as real VCs and angels with real track record - Ali Hussain ’11 and Deepak Bapat ’11 organized a pop-up bagel truck in Union Square! I met several teammates, their excitement about Revenue Automation is so contagious!! I attended a bunch of other events as well!! - I listened to City Councilwoman Julie Menin (the most powerful woman in NYC!!), about attracting startups into NYC!! - I learned about the Dubai startup ecosystem, learned from the Dubai Chamber and embassy! - I learned about dual-use technologies, how university spinouts have so much resources to commercialize and grow!! - I went to a fashion tech panel at FIT, how to design supply chains to be resilient and quick turnaround! - I learned how mainframes still run so much of the economy, from the IBM experts on mainframes!!
