🐻🚀 I’m using AI to redesign the Big Red AI website!! - Version 1: in the web browser, I asked Claude, "can you give suggestions on how to improve this UI?" with a URL to Big Red AI, and it created a full mockup of a new website, Version 1 had too much stuff happening (large Hero Text, buttons that change colors when hovering) - Version 2: I told Claude "can you make the pages not look like landing pages, assume they already visited the website before", Version 2 was much cleaner, much more the style I like, more functional, and I told Claude to make a few small changes, like adding small emojis to make it a bit more fun Best Practices: - Mockups on Browser Claude: I was really impressed with how Browser Claude shows the mockup to the right of the prompt window, I found the workflow more natural than using Claude Code in terminal and then flipping over to localhost on web browser - Manually Specifying which Part: I found it tiresome to describe which specific part of the website I was referring to, so I manually went into the html and made simple changes directly, and told Claude Code to just clean it up after those changes shifted things around Workflow Improvements: - Token Management: I’m on the Claude Pro Plan, and I’m already out of Tokens, with an hour to go!! the CSS and HTML really burns through Tokens!! - Need More Testing: I need to test the code more after each change, for example, for Big Red Jobs, I told Claude Code to clean up the errors, and it made more changes than I expected, and I’m missing a week of jobs on the Big Red Jobs list now :( #cornell #ai #claude
