When the web catches a fly, a few strands (conversations) do most of the work, but the rest of the strands (conversations) are still important: - the spider doesn’t know which strands will catch the fly, so it’s important to build the entire web - the rest of the web holds everything in place, so as the fly tries to get out, the web holds it steady - after the spider eats the fly, the web is still there, ready to catch the next fly Spiderman isn’t realistic, it’s impossible for a spider to shoot a fly out of the sky. Just like how it’s impossible to get exactly what you want with a one-off conversation.
