Mango Materials turns methane into biodegradable plastics, that could be used for high-end plastic injection molding, i.e. for luxury sunglasses, skincare packaging, and more!! she has a tons and tons of biodegradable plastics, if you are a manufacturer, please reach out!! Molly Morse ’03 studied engineering at Cornell, started Mango Materials after her PhD at Stanford, Mango Materials is based near San Francisco, headquartered at a wastewater treatment plant, where they turn the methane into biodegradable plastic in large fermentation tanks! I visited the plant last week, and I thought it was so cool how scalable everything was, how they can just install 10x more fermentation tanks, to boost 10x more the production!!
