Mobile uploads 🐻🥼 I visited the Cornell NanoScale Facility cleanroom, and saw so many types of equipment, for making devices on the 10^-9 meter scale (1,000,000,000 times smaller than a meter!!) it has all the tools you need, to apply photoresist onto silicon wafers, to use lithography to remove the photoresist you don’t want, to use etchers or depositors to create patterns, and so many handy measurement tools to make sure the device is working correctly!! CNF is the best in the world!! Researchers and industry users come from all around the world, to use the tools, to learn and get guidance from the 25 super-helpful staff scientists who are experts in the nanoscale tools!! I was so impressed by the ASML deep UV lithography machine that can step between multiple experiments at a time, and the JEOL Ltd. electron beam lithography machine behind me that can make the smallest patterns in the world!!
