Mobile uploads 🐻🎶 Lucy Simon ’63 wrote the music for Secret Garden musical, and sang with her sister Carly Simon as the Simon Sisters (Winkin’ Blinkin’ and Nod). I attended her memorial concert, Broadway singers performed music she composed throughout her career, Judy Collins sang Amazing Grace, and Lucy Simon’s daughter and granddaughter sang Winkin’ Blinkin’ and Nod Lucy studied at the Cornell Nursing School ’63, I attended the memorial with her classmates. When they were at Cornell, Carly Simon would visit Lucy and sing together in the Cornell Nursing School dorms. After graduation, Lucy went on to a music career. It was really special to hear about Lucy’s life, her impact through music and friends and family. her friends shared stories, my favorite was how Lucy was the composer of the songs, and singers sing the songs to bring them them to life. how after Lucy’s passing, future singers will continue singing her songs.
