Mobile uploads 🐻🥼 I attended the Weill Cornell Surgery Department’s annual lecture, in memory of Benjamin Park, surgical resident ’68, who died in the Korean War, when his ambulance helicopter crashed, en route to rescue wounded soldiers. The lecturer this year was the head of the American College of Surgeons, Dr Patricia Turner, who spoke about agile leadership, how to lead a surgery department as a surgery chief, and beyond. I learned a bunch, that in turbulent times (like now), it’s important to have agile and inclusive leadership, to take in more perspectives I was especially moved by the intro, by Professor Kevin Morrisey, who was a surgical resident with Benjamin Park in 1968, the last member of the surgery department who knew Benjamin, he shared pictures of the annual lecture/dinner over the decades It was fascinating to see how the surgery department evolved, from the old black/white pictures from 1968 to the audience of surgery department today
