Mobile uploads 🐻📚 Weill Cornell’s Patient Resource Center, is the portion of Cornell’s medical library that is open to the public, where anyone can learn how to get healthier!! They have 6 computers available for anyone to use, that have access to all the medical journals and databases, with 10 free pages of printing per day! There’s also a lot of helpful pamphlets on diet, nutrition, sleeping well, osteoporosis, arthritis, Alzheimer’s, mammograms, word searches, and more! They’re super helpful, when I needed a pen to work on the word search, they gave me a pen, so I could do the word search!! The Patient Resource Center also hosts public lectures, by Weill Cornell professors, ie last week’s was on Idiopathic Neuropathy!! 50 people came to learn more about idiopathic neuropathy! Anyone can attend the lecture, and anyone can use the library, it makes health resources available to everyone, when it’s needed the most!! There’s also a monthly health book club, New York Public Library and Weill Cornell partnered up to run the book club! This month’s book is Maybe You Should Talk to Someone by Lori Gottlieb! it’s about mental health and therapy Myra Mahon donated the Patient Resource Center to Weill Cornell, she believed that "an informed patient is almost always a healthier patient with a better chance for a favorable outcome"!!
