Mobile uploads 🐻🧼 Cornell Basic Needs Coalition!! makes sure every Cornellian has deodorant, soap, toothpaste, menstrual products, toilet paper, hand sanitizers, laundry detergent, and more!! it’s a group of students that tables in Willard Straight Hall, Mann Library, and RPCC every semester, where any student can walk by and take anything they need, no questions asked I saw 100 students walk by and take something in the 20 minutes I was with them. They also have a pre-order system, where they pack the goods into small bags, that students can come and pick up, all pre-packaged. I’m so impressed by their supply chain logistics, it’s 15 students, doing all the buying, packing, and tabling! They also hold workshops on how to access the resources available to students, ie health insurance, SNAP benefits, housing benefits, how to fill out financial forms. It’s an inspirational grassroots effort, of students helping fellow students!!
