Mobile uploads Click for video: 🐻📚 Dalai Lama’s Library, just opened in Ithaca!! I practiced the 8 steps of mindful training: I rang a bell, spun a drum, sat on a red stump, and more!! The monks are back after the pandemic, I saw their new sand art, they brought back a bunch of meditation books and art pieces, as well as goods for the gift shop!! Ithaca is Dalai Lama’s base outside of Tibet, he’s come to Ithaca many times, and has spoken at Cornell and Ithaca College, the old car in the pictures was the car he used when he first visited Ithaca! there’s a big base of Tibetan monks in Ithaca, you can get Tibetan momos (dumplings!!) at Center Ithaca as well as the Farmer’s Market They offer one-day spiritual retreats, as well as week-long retreats (they have dorms on-site if you need a place to stay!) My favorite is standing outside, watching and listening to the long lines of colorful flags billowing in the wind!
