Mobile uploads 🐻🍔 Ithaca Food: Tres Leches, a new Cocktail Bar in Collegetown, grand opening!! It started as a food truck in 2015, by Jorge Bouras ’17 hotelie, and now, it’s a Restaurant (Dos Amigos) and a Cocktail Bar (Tres Leches)!!! I got the marinated seared ribeye steak burrito from Dos Amigos upstairs (5/5) and the Tres Leches cocktail (anejo reposado tequila, amaro ciacaro, nutmeg, and more!!) from Tres Leches downstairs (5/5). Tres Leches uses 3 milks (condensed milk, evaporated milk, and regular milk), a good dessert after a good burrito! I plan to try one of their Margaritas next time! It reminded me of a speakeasy, a fancy cocktail menu designed by Sammi Katz (a cocktail expert from Brooklyn), now serving in Collegetown!! The bar is thoughtfully designed, good noise canceling fabric on the ceilings, preventing echoes, can hear the conversation! It bought back memories of Stella’s, which used to occupy the space, I like how they kept the original Stella’s floor tiles, with the S, and the original Stella’s Cafe door (pictured)
