Mobile uploads 🐻🏕️ Cornell Outdoor Education!! started in 1972, over 200,000 Cornellians have went through COE! There’s so much to learn outside of the traditional classroom, COE teaches those skills!! like leadership, teamwork, adventure!! Physical Education is required for graduation, and half of the PE courses are offered through COE for the PE requirement! MBAs and Law students and other graduate programs, go through the Challenge course, when they first arrive on campus, to bond with their classmates! and Alumni are all welcome to take classes, and sign up their company for corporate retreats and team building events! In addition to courses (that any Cornellian can take), COE also organizes a gear sale (anyone can come to Barton and sell and buy used outdoor gear), and a film festival (movies about nature and the outdoors!!) COE is looking to connect with all Cornellians who are interested in the outdoors! If you like to hike, if you like to swim, if you like gorges, please reach out to Karel Hilversum, the COE director, he wants to chat with every Cornellian!!
