Mobile uploads Deirdre Hay Campaign Event!! yay for hay!!! Thursday Night Bowling League!! eating Royal Fried Chicken, overlooking the mighty Chenango River my favorite Binghamton bar!! soccer game!! Guthrie acquired this beautiful sign Lourdes cafeteria!! I got the coffee here!! (5/5) Lourdes fountain Lourdes!! Statue of Justice!! the Supreme Court of NY 6th District, no photographs allowed inside, but the court rooms are magnificent!!! 🐻🚌 Binghamton for the day!! I had a really good time: - I visited the Supreme Court 6th Judicial District (I observed one of the cases, visited the Supreme Court offices, and the library, met a Cornellian working there) - I walked around with a Cornellian, visited Lourdes Hospital cafeteria, which Guthrie recently acquired, it was a wonderful hospital cafeteria, I got the coffee (5/5), on par with the high quality cafeteria food of Ithaca-area hospitals!! - I attended Deirdre Hay’s event (Deirdre is professor at Cornell Law School, in charge of careers for the LLM students, I learned about her wonderful experience, creating a fairer society, through her board work with LawNY, being president of the Women’s Bar Association of NY) - I watched a soccer game between Binghamton and Chenango Forks (met a father of one of the players, whose grandfather came from NYC to Binghamton asking "Which way EJ?" referring to the Endicott Johnson (EJ) shoe factory in Binghamton that hired many immigrants, and we chatted about his town supervisor campaign) - I visited a bowling alley, the Thursday league, 32 teams, that meets every week September through May, Binghamton has really talented bowlers, I really liked the 50/50 lottery system, where you can buy tickets, where 50% of it goes to lottery winning while you bowl, and 50% goes to the purse for the best team, it really raises the excitement level!!! - I ate fried chicken from Royal Fried Chicken, on the benches by the mighty Chenango River, it’s a lovely family-owned restaurant, the father was so excited when I told him how great Ithaca is, he called for his son to come out, and hear about Ithaca too!! - I drank my favorite beer (Coor’s Light!!) at my favorite Binghamton bar (Fitzies!!), I made a new friend, who moved to Binghamton from Vietnam 40 years ago, he told me about living in Binghamton over the years, how he grew his small business and how he raised his family, it was really inspiring!! - I’m now waiting for the 10:50pm bus back to Ithaca, it’s a few minutes late, I see the bus on the tracker, it is almost here, I am happy, I feel fulfilled
