Mobile uploads 🐻🎬 Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival!! I watched "Move When the Spirit Says Move", it’s so good, it’s my second time watching it!! It’s about Dorothy Cotton, Civil Rights Leader (and Director of Student Activities at Cornell!!), produced by a Cornellian (Deborah Hoard, MPS ’78)! Dorothy Cotton was a leader in the Civil Rights Movement, Martin Luther King worked closely with her, she built the schools throughout the South that taught African Americans how to vote, and become politically active!! She taught, she marched, she sang real good too, ie the Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers is a choir in Ithaca, they just sang a Freedom is a Constant Struggle concert! She started the Dorothy Cotton Institute (in Ithaca) too, to teach the next generation of human rights leaders!
