Mobile uploads Click for video: 🐻☢️ Cornell Nuclear Reactor!! it’s in Ward Laboratory, south of Engineering Quad, built in 1960, decommissioned in 2001, it is now offices for Engineering’s financial department and marketing department, and the main reactor area for self-driving car research! The video is from the basement of the nuclear reactor (spooky!!), I really liked the old telephone on the wall, and the old Curity First Aid Kit (safety first, in a nuclear reactor!!), and I wore the Cornell Engineering hard hat to stay safe in the nuclear reactor!! I thought Cornell Facilities did a great job repurposing the laboratory!! The new offices are well-ventilated, with good AC, and helpful signs directing traffic. And we are reminded of the past, by all the pictures on the walls, of the bluish reactor pool and nuclear rods, the control room overlooking the reactor!
