🐻🦚 Birdwatching in Sapsucker Woods! at Cornell’s Lab of Ornithology!! The Bird Club tours every Sat and Sun morning at 8:30am, provides binoculars, and the experts point out where to point the binoculars!
I saw a great blue heron, an American Robin, a hole in the wall of a tree nest, a tree with beaver tooth marks, a lot of pretty flowers!
I learned about the invasive Emerald Ash Borer, that’s been eating up the ash trees, it’s so sad, because the ash trees provide a lot of the high perch places for the high-flying birds, and those will be gone soon
for part of the walk, I went on a side trail, away from the group, I stood very still and very quietly, and I saw what the woods look like if I wasn’t there
