Mobile uploads 🐻🚀 Alex Bores ’13 is running for Congress!!! his district is in Manhattan (UES, UWS, Midtown), it is the most Cornellian district, with 20k Cornellians, as well as Cornell’s NYC campuses: Cornell Tech, Weill Cornell Medicine, ILR Conference Center!!! Alex has done such an amazing job as NY State Assemblymember, he spearheaded the most important bills in the NY State Assembly (amazing range of policy expertise!!) - AI bill that is used as a AI governance model by all the other states (won Time magazine’s 100 most important in AI!!) - judicial bill, that increases the number of judges for speedier justice - public safety bill, that makes the sidewalks safer from dangerous scooters and delivery bikes!! not only is he amazing at policy, he’s also so good at connecting with constituents!! - he has the most popular town halls, fills up entire auditoriums and 2 overflow spaces!! they go on for hours (I started in the overflow room 1, and a few hours later, I got a spot in the auditorium!!) - at his office hours, it is just him and a few constituents, and he is such a good listener, hears all their concerns!! one of his constituents was a young toddler, who couldn’t reach the water jug to fill her sippy cup, Alex saw this, and walked over and poured her some water!!!! Cornellians are just the most wonderful politicians!! Cornellians are smart, Cornellians work hard, and Cornellians are the best at connecting with constituents!! -- I’m hosting Office Hours everyday this month!!
