Mobile uploads 🐻🚀 ribbon cutting for the Cornell Tech MakerLab!! the most important people in NYC came to the ribbon cutting!! over 100 companies have spun out of Cornell Tech, creating hundreds of jobs, supporting a vibrant startup ecosystem in NYC! it is so inspiring to hear Senator Nadler’s speech, how academic innovation leads to economic development, how Cornell Tech leads the way in NYC innovation!! the MakerLab will foster the next generation of startups in NYC, because startups now have all the tools they need to build new medical devices, design new accessible devices, with amazing experts on all the tools!! I learned how to run a 3D printer, how to cut using the laser cutter, how to create a Computer Aided Manufacture file for the wood cutter, as well as good workflow principles (use one tool to rapid prototyping, and then another tool for the final design!) If you want to bring manufacturing back to America, it starts with adding more MakerLabs!! smart policy decisions, for real world impact!!!
