Mobile uploads 🐻🚀 Rev Ithaca is the top startup incubator in Upstate NY!! I was so impressed by Cornell Professor Hakim Weatherspoon’s presentation, he’s raised $27mm for his Series A startup, that spreads AI training workloads over multiple cloud providers, to make it more affordable to train AI models!! customers include Synopsys, AWS, AsteraLabs!! amazing research, with amazing real-world impact!! so many PhD’s were there too, commercializing their research! Jon McCandless, PhD ’23, is commercializing his gallium oxide semiconductors that can switch faster, reducing energy waste (the faster you can switch, the less time there is in the in-between state, which has current and wastes energy!)! so many Cornellians researchers (who don’t have startups yet) came to the event as well, and were inspired by all the commercialization successes, as well as by the amazing supportive environment! Startups come to Rev Ithaca, from all around the world, to take part in the startup accelerator!! it is especially strong with NY agriculture connections, as well as hardware prototyping!!
