Mobile uploads 🐻📈 Cornell’s Emerging Markets Institute (EMI) is a huge reason why Cornell is so well-regarded in the International community!! (it’s a reason why so many International students choose to study at Cornell!!) It is the top research institute on businesses in the Emerging Markets (ie India, Egypt, Latin America, Brazil, Indonesia, Southeast Asia, and much of Africa!!) the Emerging Markets Institute is looking for startups to pitch in the 2025 EMI Pitch Competition, for the grand prize of $10,000 non-dilutive funding!! All recent grads and current students are eligible to pitch their startup, in front of an audience of emerging market leaders! The theme this year is AI Innovations in Emerging Markets! Lourdes Casanova does a fantastic job running the Emerging Markets Institute, growing a strong fellowship program that expands to every part of the university, and an active alumni base that comes back to speak in class as well as the best Emerging Markets conference in the USA!! (Conference is November 6-7 in NYC) It’s a super-exciting year for Emerging Markets, because more capital is available than before, there’s a strong infrastructure (internet, energy, talent), and AI innovations can come from anywhere (not just the developed countries!!)!!
