🐻🚀 Networking is only as helpful to you, as you are helpful to others!! if you only ask others to help you, very few people will help you!! but if you’re helpful to others first, then many people will help you!! if you’re a student looking for alumni to help you, think of ways you can be helpful to alumni first!! - you can tell alumni about conferences happening at Cornell!! - you can invite alumni to speak at one of your clubs!! - you can give them a tour of your project team when they visit campus!! - you can show up at Cornellian events, your presence itself is wonderful!! - you can interview them for your podcast or newsletter!! - you can show them how you use social media or AI!! - you can connect the alumni with relevant email lists, if the alumni is looking to hire students!! - you can sign up to be a Reunion Clerk, and help out with Reunion!! there’s so many ways to be helpful!! and that way, when you’re looking for work, more people will be helpful to you!!! the Cornell network is so helpful, because so many Cornellians help each other!! it creates a wonderful culture of helping!! #cornell #networking
