Place: NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (38.992907128305, -76.846902967324) Address: Greenbelt, MD 🐻🚀 I visited NASA today and watched model rocket launches!! it’s incredible combining rocket physics with interstellar dreams!! it reminded me why I studied Applied and Engineering Physics, the beauty in how everything fits together, and the amazing things you can do!! NASA has a wonderful museum - James Webb Telescope has 18 hexagonal mirrors, to collect more light, to see really far away galaxies - the sculpture garden has real rockets that have been to space - photographs of stars and galaxies and nebulas - magnet exhibit simulating how magnetic fields create sunspots - real meteorite rocks, space rocks!! - a video demonstrating the orbital patterns around the sun, to travel to more distant planets the NASA campus is named after Robert Goddard, who said "It is difficult to say what is impossible, for the dream of yesterday is the hope of today and the reality of tomorrow" seeing the rockets today made me dream again!!
