🐻🚀 Sue Yang, MS ’67, is awarded the Trailblazing Attorney Award from Rutgers Law School!! Sue was denied tenure as college instructor due to workplace bias, went to law school at 39 years old, and became a Workers Compensation Judge in NJ (the first female Chinese American judge in NJ!!) she gave a super-inspiring speech, to the Rutgers Minority Students Program, "The law is a powerful tool, use it to help people, to protect the vulnerable, and to uphold the rule of law that holds our democracy together" I found 2 Cornellians in the audience!! they studied at Cornell Law School, started a law firm, and comes to Rutgers MSP to hire attorneys!! Sue also has a wonderful family, full of Cornellians!!!! #cornell #judge #law
