🐻🎉 Chesterton House is a wonderful Christian community at Cornell, where 40 students live together, with biweekly open dinners of 100+ students to explore faith, discuss important topics, and build community!!
I went to the annual Gala last night, and everyone shared how the Chesterton House enriched their experience at Cornell!! one Cornellian was grateful she integrated faith into her daily rhythms, similar to how iron sharpens iron, Chesterton residents sharpen each other’s faith, to become more thoughtful Christians
another Cornellian shared how 12 years later, he’s still closest friends with the other residents, because of the late night porch chats, where everyone shared openly with each other, and everyone saw each other through their growth and starting families over the decades
another Cornellian came to Cornell as the first in his family to go to college, he was always worried about finding his community, until he moved into Chesterton House, and he gives career advice to the younger Chesterton residents, it’s a wonderful helpful community!!
I really enjoyed attending Chesterton House events! the biweekly dinners are incredible, where everyone is welcomed, to discuss a topic with each other in small tables guided by the Chesterton staff! I was amazed with how the staff set an environment where everyone wanted to share what they’re thinking, and truly learn together and from each other
if you’re a student at Cornell, make sure to attend the Chesterton House events, it’s incredible discussions!! and if you’re an alum and want to learn more, reach out to Vivek Mathew, PhD ’19!!
