You tagged Prabu Selvam 🐻🚀 Cornellian running for Montgomery County Council (in Maryland!!)!! Prabu Selvam ’07 served as a doctor in the Air Force in Afghanistan, and returned home to Montgomery County, to run for office!! I was most impressed by his sense of duty, he shared a story from Afghanistan, when he wasn’t able to save the life of a wounded soldier, it dawned on him the value of democracy and human rights it’s a beautiful immigrant story, of growing up in American public schools, of finding his place in America and helping the community locally and globally it’s a beautiful campaign launch event, Bhangra performers, Wegmans party tray, and a diversity of speakers, Montgomery County is such a special place I grew up as an immigrant in Montgomery County as well, his story really resonated with me, Cornellians are the best politicians, I really hope more Cornellians run for office!! #cornell #immigrant @selvamformoco
